How to install the access control system? What are the common faults?

一. Installation and commissioning of access control system

1. Power supply

Ensure that the power is sufficient, try to use a linear power supply, and the door lock and controller should be powered separately. The power supply should be installed as close as possible to the electrical equipment to avoid interference and transmission loss.

2. Wiring

It is divided into power lines, communication lines, and signal lines. When wiring, pay attention to separating the strong and weak lines. The distance between the two tubes is required to be greater than 20cm.

Power cord: the wire diameter is thick enough, using multi-strand wires.

The signal line and communication line: use shielded five types of twisted pair. Among them, the 485 bus must be connected with a twisted pair of wires. When purchasing wires, it is recommended to use 4*0.5 four-core shielded wires.

Precautions:

Shielded wires must not be used as connecting wires for 0V voltage (power ground)

Each shield return can only have one ground terminal

When the shielded loop cannot be grounded, the shielded wire can be connected to another shielded loop of the network.

The signal grounds of each module must be connected together.

Do not keep network cables together with AC power.

Location selection:

Card reader: Do not install it on a metal object, the distance between two card readers should not be less than 30 cm, and it is best to supply power through the controller. If the card reader is powered solely from the outside, please use a linear regulated power supply (transformer) for the power supply of the card reader, and the negative pole of the DC cannot be connected to the ground terminal of the AC.

Network adapter: The connection with the controller is in a hand-in-hand manner.

Controller: The controller without isolation, is recommended to use the same power supply.

Lock: When installing the magnetic lock, it is necessary to make the lock body and the relay iron plate tightly combined, otherwise there will be insufficient suction. Electric mortise lock, if you need to open the socket when installing the electric mortise lock, pay attention to the hole diameter must be large enough, and the depth must be deep enough to allow the lock tongue to be fully inserted. The lock tongue cannot be fully inserted, and the lock tongue will jump continuously after locking the door, or the working current will always be high, and the lock body will become hot.

二. Common faults and maintenance methods of the access control system

1. A valid card cannot open the door

Check whether the electric control lock is normal Check the power supply or replace the electric control lock.

Whether the lock tongue and the lock buckle are mechanically stuck, repair the mechanical failure or replace the parts.

Check the indicator lights on the control board to check whether the communication between the control board and the module is normal and troubleshoot.

Check whether the communication between the card reader and the module is normal and troubleshoot.

Whether the information day closing command is set or not, adjust the opening time through the software.

Whether the operator initializes the access control system or other commands are re-authorized through the software.

2. Access control communication failure

Check if the serial port is set incorrectly (determine the serial port used).

Check whether there is a short circuit or open circuit on the access control communication bus (exclude the short circuit and open circuit of the communication line).

Check that the communication chip 75184 of the RS485 communication card is damaged (replace the communication chip 75148).

The RS485 communication card is damaged (replace the RS485 communication card).

Check whether the crystal head of the network cable is done well, check whether the network cable is connected, and ping the address of the access control controller.

3. Access control records cannot be extracted completely

4. The door lock is always open

The operator sets the status of the access control device to normally open, or other reasons cause the controller to be in the normally open state.

Controller failure.

Solution: Set the status of the door lock controller to normal, if the fault still exists, replace the controller.

5. The IC card cannot be read

The IC card has been set for the valid time period of card reading when the IC card is authorized (it can be set for valid card reading all day).

The access control controller is abnormally hot (replace the access control board).

Access control read-write antenna (adjust the fine-tuning capacitor to enhance the card reading distance).

6. The communication between the computer and the controller is unstable

A signal cable that does not meet the requirements or a low-quality signal cable is used.

The laying of the signal line is not standardized, such as the signal line and the power line are passed through the same tube.

三. Nine access control system lock failure summary

1. Why does the magnetic lock make a loud noise when closing the door?

a. Check whether there is a rubber gasket installed.

b. Check the iron plate end, and whether the screw is too loose.

c. Check whether the distance between the magnetic lock body and the suction plate is appropriate.

2. Why does the iron plate not stick firmly after the magnetic lock has been used for a period of time?

Check whether the power supply "power and voltage" 1A/12V/24V output is reduced.

Check the surface of the magnet for foreign objects (such as dust, rust deposits, foreign objects, etc.).

3. Why do magnetic lock iron plates often need to be adjusted?

a. Check whether the iron plate is equipped with pins.

b. Check whether the iron plate is equipped with a rubber pad.

c. It is suggested that the customer put the "screw fixative" on the screw.

4. After the iron plate is sucked, it feels slightly vibrating, and the suction is not enough?

a. Check whether the main surface of the magnetic lock is fully attached to the iron plate and whether there is no foreign matter, or try loosening the iron plate.

b. Check whether the voltage and current are sufficient.

5. Why does the magnetic lock have an adjustable delay, but it doesn't work?

a. The "delay adjustment" of the magnetic lock starts timing after the power is turned on, not after closing the door.

b. The delay of the magnetic lock is 0, 3, 6, and 9 seconds. Check the settings to see if the time is set to 9 seconds.

6. Why is the magnetic lock powered on, but the red LED light is dimly lit and cannot be sucked in?

Check whether the voltage is sufficient to supply the solenoid lock (should supply 1A current/12V voltage).

7. Why is the red LED light always on when the magnetic lock is powered on, but the green light is not on?

It may be that the induction element of the magnetic lock is damaged and needs to be replaced.

8. Why can't I use the double-door magnetic lock for a while?

The magnetic lock of the double door consumes a lot of power, check whether the power supply is sufficient (whether it is sufficient for the required current and voltage of the double door electromagnetic lock, or whether there is a line loss).

9. Why doesn't the magnetic lock work with the access controller?

Check if the "output" contact of the controller is correct.
